Ourspace is a participatory performance that zooms in on the virtual and the physical space between people, their online and offline identity and social encounters.
People move a lot online via digital and social media platforms, from their chairs. How can you shape the digital space in such a way that people move in the physical space? A space can change through a story, music, movement. The space you are in can transform into a meaningful place, where the way we connect with each other offline can be influenced by online interactions (such as in a game). Ourspace is a digital game/experience in which students question and experience the digital environment versus the online environment, developed by dance platform WhyNot, coder James Bryan Graves and technology artist Klasien van de Zandschulp.
