Social Signals and Blurred Backgrounds
A Camouflage Creation Workshop
An investigation of the field of tension between the need to hide or blend in, and the need to signal an identity. Are the two necessarily in conflict? How does this tension translate from the military sphere to our broader culture?
In the workshop participants will create their own personal camouflage pattern, based on a methodology used at TNO for the creation of NATO testing patterns. Consider where you want to hide, or from what. How do you want to go (un)seen?
