Schäfer is designer and researcher based in Amsterdam. In his recent works he is investigating the coexistence of the virtual and the physical world, focusing on the creation of personal identity. Schäfer graduated in 2009 from ArtEZ Arnhem graphic design apartment and achieved his Master degree in design at the Sandberg Instituut Amsterdam in 2012. He is currently also teaching at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht.
