| h English (en) | Hackers & Designers is a group of artists/designers/toolmakers/technologists who explore technologies and their role in contemporary life by opening them up together, and experiment with learning by doing. In a series of events under the name Hacked Orchestra, the collective teams up with artist Ghenwa Noiré, SoundLAB and Sonic Acts to explore the radical social potential of active listening in the shape of informal, improvisational sonic dialogue sessions. During our first event at this iconic location in Amsterdam we will engage in intuitive forms of communication, listening and interacting with others, through sonic gestures. In a workshop and evening program we will explore how hacking and bending electronics circuits can distort, amplify, muffle, highlight or otherwise inform unspoken modes of communication. |
| h Dutch (nl) | Hackers & Designers is een groep kunstenaars/ontwerpers/toolmakers/technologen die technologieën en hun rol in het hedendaagse leven onderzoeken door ze samen open te stellen, en experimenteren met leren door te doen. In een reeks evenementen onder de naam 'Gehackte Orkest' werkt het collectief samen met kunstenaar Ghenwa Noiré, SoundLAB en Sonic Acts om het radicale sociale potentieel van actief luisteren in de vorm van informele, improviserende sonische dialoogsessies te verkennen. Tijdens ons eerste evenement op deze iconische locatie in Amsterdam zullen we ons bezighouden met intuïtieve vormen van communicatie, luisteren en communiceren met anderen, door middel van sonische gebaren. In een workshop en een avondprogramma onderzoeken we hoe het hacken en buigen van elektronische circuits onuitgesproken communicatievormen kunnen vervormen, versterken, dempen, benadrukken of anderszins informeren. |
