HDSA2020 Documentation Project Overview and Budget

For the 2020 Summer Academy, documentation needed to be distributed. I made a system whereby participants, workshop hosts, and facilitators alike could share their files with each other and to the public domain as a form of ad-hoc process documentation:

  1. Every participant dedicated a folder on their personal computer for files that they regarded as a part of their process and served it to the Internet.
Workshop Becoming a Server.
  1. The contents of these folders are pulled into this webpage (for the larger public domain): hyperdrives.hackersanddesigners.nl .
  2. The documentation folders are later cloned, archived, and used to populate the H&D wiki.

This amount adds up to the budget that was allocated for photo and video documentation, with reference to the proposed budget of the HDSA (cells K11 and K12).

→ Regular Activities (August - December):

Communication and Website Maintenance
(newsletters, wiki updates, server maintenance, etc...)
4 hours / week x 20 weeks x € 40 = € 3200
Research and Development
(on my own terms for now, reporting back occasionally)
€ 0

→ One-off Projects:

HDSA Facilitation, Production, Documentation
('all-rounder', helping where needed)
5 hours x € 40 = € 200
HDSA (2020) Publication
(organisation, design, development, production)
20 hours x € 40 = € 800
Completing the 'Tools' wiki extension project
(initiated during internship in 2019 and unfinished)
€ 0

→ € 3200 + € 200 + € 800 = € 4200,-
