Hackers & Designers will join WORM, Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam a Institute for Network Cultures, Bits of Freedom, Waag, and more in simulated liberation of the digital state of Facebook. Join 1 of 3 groups of Facebook refugees, underground citizens, or resistance fighters in a brainstorm and workshop of what these 3 positions and actions may actually look like in a digital world.
For this event [[Hackers & Designers]] joined [https://worm.org/ WORM], [https://stadsschouwburgamsterdam.nl/ Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam], [[Institute for Network Cultures]], Bits of Freedom, [[Waag Society]] and more in the act of simulated liberation of the digital state of Facebook.  


The event, hosted on Wednesday, May 13th at the Waag will run from 18:30-21:00. It is an opportunity to begin a project and/or presentation for the Facebook Farewell Party which will be hosted in de Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam on June 23rd.
Participants were invited to join one of the three groups: Facebook state refugees, its underground citizens or resistance fighters. During the workshop groups brainstormed and worked on the application of these three positions in the world of social networks. The event was initiated as an opportunity to critically reflect on the phenomena of social networks and to prepare projects and presentations for the Facebook Farewell Party.
