Thomas Rustemeyer (*1984 in Freiburg) studied architecture and urban planning at KIT Karlsruhe and at the UdK Berlin. In 2012/13, he was academic assistant to Prof. Klaus Overmeyer in the subject area of architecture at the University of Wuppertal and researched Raumunternehmen. Since 2014, he has been teaching as artistic assistant in Scenography and Exhibition Design at Karlsruhe HfG. In his work, Rustemeyer addresses questions on co-habitation in the city. He designs, creates and calls into question spaces for image and discourse and develops narrative and discussion formats for spaces in transformation. He operates within the fields of scenography, communication in space, and urbanism in the context of culture and research. He creates exhibitions and discourse situations in this way as experimental spaces, as well as drawings and publications.
