- Artist and image addict Coralie Vogelaar will share some of her findings that she came across during her quantitative analyses on popular archetypes of news photography.

- Bart Jeukendrup bravely demonstrates the complexity of his Neural Networks in a way that simple that beginners and non will be able to understand.

- Image journalist and editor Frank Schallmaier will talk about news photography and decision making processes. When are photo’s special, interesting, important,… ?

When? Thu 17.3.2016, 19:00

Where? Hackers & Founders, Herengracht 504, Amsterdam

She finds inspiration from quantitative research methods, currently A/B testing, deep learning and image recognition software.

20:00 Bart Jeukendrup is a artificial intelligence, distributed computing and data scientist currently researching the possibilities of neural networks. He will provide a super simple explanation of how neural networks work conceptually and share some examples.

20:30 Frank Schallmaier studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Haag and now works as image journalist and editor at De Volkskrant. Next to his work with news photography Frank is an obsessive image collector.
