This event is only for participants of the Summer Camp 2026 and not open to the public, want to join us: check the HDSC2026 Clouds to Commons Public Program
This session is divided in 3 activities, spread over 2 moments, the first moment is on Wednesday 15.
- control of time
- control of readability
- control of voice
1 – control of time: cooking an egg without a timer.
- duration: approx. 30 minutes.
- task: decide on how you want your egg to be cooked, write it down. close your eyes, or blindfold yourself. let water boil and add an eggs to pot. when you decide that it is time to take out your egg for the wished for state of the egg, you open your eyes and take it out. mark your egg with what you think how it looks like on the inside. once everyone's egg is cooked, open them and make egg salad from them.
technologies: best would be a gas stove or hotplate with one big pot for all the eggs. 1 egg per person, and a soupspoon (or similar to take out egg). excercise would be nice all together, but can happen in 2 smaller groups. preparation: cutting parsley and pickles for egg salad. a bit of bread for eating afterwards would be great.
2 – control of readability: write titles, or words or texts with tools hard to control.
- 45 min but can also be open end.
- task: choose watery acrylic paint and write with fingers or brush without touching the paper. or write with glitter glue. or write one word with acrylic pain and press another paper onto the wet paint and only use the "copy" of the word. or find objects to write with that are disruptive or annoying for writing, dip them in paint and write. one rule: do not touch the paper with pen or brush.
what is being written can be adjusted to other workshops. or it is a moment of reflection. one 5, one 10, one 15 minutes writing session. technologies: glitter glue, acrylic paint, brushes, found material, trash, water, papers (rather big ones)
3 – control of voice. silent karaoke
- anything from 45 min – however long
- task: choose a karaoke song, put on headphones to listen to the beat and sing with all your heart to the song into a microphone, that is connected to speakers. The audience will only hear your voice, you will maybe hardly hear your voice – enjoy!
technologies: laptop, headphones, speaker, microphone
