In his talk Sjef van Gaalen shared his fascination for camouflage and presented his research. A brief history of camouflage exploring the origins of some popular patterns and their current media representations, was followed by an exploration of 21st century developments beyond the visual spectrum into an algorithmically mediated, networked world.
