H&D did a mini design challenge during a Crypto Design Salon at [[Waag Society]]. During this challenge we used Edward Snowden’s statement that he missed eating Doritos while in exile in Russia as a jumping off point to examine fast data and fast food in our global late capitalist society. | |||
In this mini design challenge we collectively prototyped de- & encryption tools to transmit Doritos in the most secure way. The challenge participants were invited to brainstorm and create tools/methods, solving the challenge in any inventive way; in a technical manner, drawings, cut-outs, (gif-)animations, performative demonstrations… | |||

The challenge: How can A (You) bring Doritos to B (Snowden) without C (NSA) finding out about it?
H&D did a mini design challenge during a Crypto Design Salon at Waag Society. During this challenge we used Edward Snowden’s statement that he missed eating Doritos while in exile in Russia as a jumping off point to examine fast data and fast food in our global late capitalist society.
