This event is only for participants of the Summer Camp 2026 and not open to the public, want to join us: check the HDSC2026 Clouds to Commons Public Program

data_mill provides a space for participants to reclaim ownership of their personal and communal digital footprint through the active process of digital weaving.

Using a hand made digital loom (web application) participants will get the opportunity to craft their own tapestry using their personal data as the raw material.

The workshop will explore methods of reflection in an age of digital ephemera. Participants will weave objects of personal meaning while investigating issues of private platform ownership, rapid optimisation and overproduction.
