We kicked off the Summer Academy with a meet up 9:30 at NDSM studio 127 for an introduction. | |||
We had lunch and a tour at [[Mediamatic]] an alternative art space in Amsterdam exploring the possibilities and challenges that new technology offers art, design, nature and society. | |||
Followed by a guided tour at [[Waag Society]] an inspiring place in Amsterdam at the intersection of science, technology and the arts. Their work focuses on emergent technologies as instruments of social change, and is guided by the values of fairness, openness and inclusivity. | |||
We ended the day with a welcoming dinner at NDSM cooked by the amazing [[Tara Steemers]] who cooked us lunch for the whole Summer Academy! | |||

We kicked off the Summer Academy with a meet up 9:30 at NDSM studio 127 for an introduction. We had lunch and a tour at Mediamatic an alternative art space in Amsterdam exploring the possibilities and challenges that new technology offers art, design, nature and society. Followed by a guided tour at Waag Society an inspiring place in Amsterdam at the intersection of science, technology and the arts.
