	Protocols are the infrastructure of the internet, any data that moves in an open manner needs a protocol. ~~I'll make~~ a quick overview and ~~talk a bit~~ about the current state of alternative social media protocols. ~~Protocols~~ are usually made by developers for developers, but ~~I'm hoping~~ we ~~can together come~~ up with alternative ways to design and think about protocols~~. Joel made a quick overview and talked about the current state of alternative social media protocols. Protocole are usually made by developers for developers, but together we came up with alternative ways to design and think about protocols.
