Hackers & Designers is a publicly-funded organization, and "user reach" is one of the measurements required by cultural funding institutions in the Netherlands. Therefore, our website uses a minimal and completely anonymized analytics software called [https://matomo.org/ Matomo]. Matomo is a free and open source software that we self-host on our server. We have configured our Matomo instance to be fully compliant with Article 13 of the GDPR. That means, there is a cookie in the browser creating a unique ID for each client. No unnecessary user data is collected, all IP addresses are anonymized, and all data is automatically deleted after our annual reports. What is collected: unique visits to different pages and the locations from which the visits come from.

Hackers & Designers is een publiekelijk gefinancierde organisatie, en "gebruikersbereik" is een van de metingen die wordt vereist door culturele financieringsinstellingen in Nederland. Daarom gebruikt onze website een minimale en volledig geanonimiseerde analytics software genaamd Matomo. Matomo is gratis en open source software die we zelf hosten op onze server. We hebben onze Matomo instantie zo geconfigureerd dat deze volledig voldoet aan artikel 13 van de GDPR. Dat betekent dat er een cookie in de browser zit die een unieke ID voor elke klant aanmaakt. Er worden geen onnodige gebruikersgegevens verzameld, alle IP-adressen worden geanonimiseerd en alle gegevens worden automatisch verwijderd na onze jaarverslagen. Wat wordt verzameld: unieke bezoeken aan verschillende pagina's en de locaties waar de bezoeken vandaan komen.
